I don’t really know where to start with this post. We are safe. We are dry. But most of our fellow Houstonians are not.
I’ll be honest, I knew Houston could flood, but I never thought it would get as bad as it did. Sunday morning, and most of the day, water was creeping up our sidewalk and driveway. I was a mess. My anxiety was out of control. I was so stressed and scared and I’ve sent myself into a mini Crohn’s flare.
But we are some of the lucky ones. There is a poll on Nextdoor for my neighborhood asking if your house flooded. About 50 percent flooded. We’re one of the few that didn’t. We are extremely lucky and blessed beyond belief. If you can, please help Houston.

Only donating profits so it could only be a dollar or two, but I think it’s really cute. https://cupcakes-and-cheer-boutique.myshopify.com/products/hurricane-victim-proceed-tee?variant=51579016981
